DULLA M50000 Portable Power Bank Review

Let’s Review DULLA M50000 Portable Power Bank!

Smartphones have revolutionized the state of mobility and have put technology on fast track. From business to enterprises and consumers, everyone has adopted it as a universal need.

At this point, Android OS cover almost 84 percent of smartphones while iOS own the rest of 16 percent with the little exception of dead windows phone. Note 8 is the latest iteration from Samsung while iPhone 8makes its way as newest product from Apple.

Both of them own the latest technologies from smartphone industry and are competing for the neck to neck.Dulla M5000

Samsung has always been a better option that iPhone when it comes to battery life. Most of Note series and S series had the capacity of 3000+ mAh. iPhone hasn’t been that much efficient in that case till now.

Even iPhone 7 was limited to 2100 MAh which was quite low as most of the applications drain battery like parasites. So it’s been a best practice to accompany a charging solution to counter this problem.

A power bank is a portable device that can charge up your phone when you can’t access your charger or unable to get to a charging point. Let’s take the example of traveling and the hiking here. You really can’t rely on your smartphone battery at least.

Therefore, it is generally recommended to keep a power bank especially in case of iPhone to keep things on track.

DULLA M50000 Portable Power Bank:

DULLA M50000 is such a charging device that has a battery capacity of 12000 mAh. It is accompanied by two USB port to make it easy for two mobile to attach. DULLA M50000 promises to charge your iPhone about 4-5 time easily.

DULLA has been a newer competitor in the race, founded in 2015 by ex-Alibaba employees. However, it targeted power banks as their primary product and so far they are doing very well in this regard. M50000 is just another product from a long list.

Name DULLA M5000
Color Gold
Capacity 12000 mAh
USB ports 2
Weight 9 ounces
Dimensions 6.1 x 3.1 x 0.5 inches
Material Aluminum
Memory Interface 128 bit
Memory Frequency 1150 MHz

DULLA M5000 comes with a fantastic color scheme of gold. Most of the power banks I have seen are either black or white. Gold, in my opinion, is an excellent choice and it looks pretty much grateful. The device is pretty much plain from the top with DULLA’s logo on the lower right end. It is termed as 2X DULLA on power bank.

Front side is pretty much interesting and it holds some of the main functional ports. We have power bank’s charging port on the first, followed by lights. Moving on we have two USB ports to charge two smartphones simultaneously. Both ends have been locked tightly using screws. Other than that, we have plenty of light indicators indicating battery level, LED light and input voltages. Battery level can be found by a number of LED lights lightening.

The overall body design is slim and lightweight. It weighs only 0.75 lbs. Amazingly this device is only 0.5 inches thick which gives it a sleek look. Left side is also plain while the right side features three buttons.

Below are the features of DULLA M5000:

Charging CapacityWeightFast ChargingOver ChargingWarranty
What we generally expect from a normal power bank is a good amount of charging capacity and ease of access. Fortunately, M50000 fulfills both of these criteria. You see this device has 12000 mAh of battery capacity which is enough to charge any smartphone by 2-3 times effectively. This number is appreciated as it is just more than enough.
Secondly, it is extremely lightweight. We seek portability but if carrying a device is a burden, what is the advantage of that portable device. M50000 weighs only 0.75 lbs. which keeps it easy to carry on. Furthermore, it is only 0.5-inch so you can even fit it into your pocket. A little bit longer though, but still not a bad choice after all. Light weightiness is due to polymer battery that isn’t heavy as well.
Super-fast-charging is another major feature that charges your mobile device swiftly thanks to two 5V and 2A USB ports. DULLA claims that M50000 can charge compatible devices up to 75% faster than any normal charger. I will be testing its performance below.
Electrical fluctuations are a common problem in third world counter while developed areas can also be the victim of it. But you don’t have to worry about it because M50000 can handle it for you. It protects your device from over charging, over voltage, over current and all other major lags.
Finally, you get 1.5 years of warranty once you buy this device. It is an enough time to test the performance and make the safety check to your mobiles. Generally, it covers almost all of the major smartphone brands. Some of them are iPhone7 Plus 6/ 6s plus 5s/ 5/ 4s/ 4, iPad, iPod, Samsung devices Galaxy s7/ s6/ s5/Edge, HTC phones.

Well, 12000 MAh is a good number but it isn’t going to deliver all of its power to your phone. I have tested it on four smartphones namely iPhone 7, iPhone 6s, Samsung S8 and Samsung Note 8. All of them are pretty much newer devices and here are the results:

Smartphone Charging
iPhone 7 4.2 times
Samsung Note 8 2.3 times
Samsung S8 2.5 times
iPhone 6s 4.5 times

In my opinion, this result is pretty much satisfying. For huge battery capacity, you need longer time to charge the device as well. As in this case, this power bank takes roughly seven and half hours to charge fully. Not an ideal time so basically one of the main drawbacks. Furthermore, claims of 75% fast charging aren’t 100 true. As per my experience, it charges 30-35% faster but 75 is still a large figure.

A luxury design with the premium look and above average performance, that how you can simply define this device. I really liked this device for its performance. May not be as well performing as Anker but still worth noting. Going on hiking or a long drive or you are on the flight, this device surely gives best under budgeted range.
